It is time to reframe our approach to illegal immigration, especially when it comes to criminals and terrorists. We must prioritize the interests of American citizens and remember that the Constitution was created to protect Americans—not those who enter the country unlawfully.
There is a widespread belief pushed by some liberals that everyone is entitled to constitutional protections, which is a misconception. Only U.S. citizens and those who enter this country legally should be entitled to the rights guaranteed by the Constitution.
The following measures, which can be quickly enacted now that Republicans control Congress, the Senate, and the White House, would address the ongoing crisis at our borders:
- Commitment to deportation: President Trump’s commitment to mass deportation, beginning with criminals and terrorists, is both bold and crucial to our nation’s security. However, the recurring issue is that many of these individuals continue to return illegally.
- Incarceration costs: While imprisoning these individuals solves the immediate issue, it also imposes a significant financial burden on American taxpayers.
To address this, I propose the following changes that should be enacted swiftly, with no more than 90 days from arrest to final resolution:
- Anyone caught bringing illegal drugs into the U.S. should face the death penalty.
- Illegal aliens caught human trafficking should face the death penalty.
- Foreign gang members operating in the U.S. should face the death penalty.
- Anyone who enters the U.S. illegally and commits murder or rape should face the death penalty.
- Anyone who illegally re-enters the U.S. after being deported should face the death penalty.
- Anyone caught harboring an illegal immigrant should receive a life sentence without parole.
- Foreign terrorists planning attacks on U.S. soil should face the death penalty.
- Any sanctuary city, county, or state should immediately lose all federal funding, with no exceptions.
It is crucial that the justice system operates swiftly, decisively, and efficiently. Legal processes should not drag on, costing American taxpayers millions. The justice system must act within 90 days, ensuring swift consequences for those who break our laws.
While no one desires death, the individuals involved in illegal activities and crimes are already responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans and they do not fear the consequences because the consequences are weak at best. It is time to put the safety and security of our American citizens first.
